About The CCM Foundation and HIVAwarness.org

Founded in March 2006, The CCM (Changing Communities Movement) Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed to promote awareness and prevention of HIV/AIDS and STDs by outreaching to teens and young adults through education and entertainment.

Our innovative social marketing campaign and community awareness events utilize the influential medium of urban entertainment as the primary tool to perform effective outreach.

The involvement and collaboration of many hip hop and R&B artists, many of which whom are relevant to our target population, provides the opportunity for young, at risk individuals to realize that his/her role model unstands the importance of safe sexual practices and promotes the importance of knowing one’s HIV status.

Since 2006, CCM Foundation has sponsored numerous HIV/STD testing and education wellness events at local community centers, universities and high schools.  These interventions have provided HIV/STD testing and/or counseling to thousands of people.

Through collaboration with local medical providers, public health officials, and community based organizations CCM Foundation has been able to offer vaccinations and other health screenings during wellness events as well.
