The Changing Communities Movement (CCM) Foundation was formed in 2006 out of the inherent need to find an alternate means of addressing the issues of teen sex and sexual disease awareness. Our unique approach is to “educate through entertainment”. Our particular focus uses music and artists to inform and educate an urban youth population that typically shuns traditional attempts provided by more mainstream approaches. Since it’s inception, we have grown our outreach to include, not only sexually transmitted diseases, but cancer and women’s health issues. HIVAwareness.org is now the main component of the all encompassing CCM Health & Wellness...
Our mission is to use the Hip Hop culture as a vehicle to promote STI/HIV and cancer awareness and education to youth in African-American and Latino communities.
To be the constant voice in the community that can be recognized as a leader in innovative approaches to STI/HIV and cancer education and prevention.
